Beginning in 2013 my station in Midland/Odessa, Texas wanted to provide me more opportunities to showcase my storytelling. As a result, I was given my own segment. Each week, I recognize an outstanding female athlete in the area. I’ve taken this as a chance to get to know the people in my community, and to take a basic story and make it creative, insightful and most of all memorable.

In February, 2014 the Texas AP Broadcasters awarded “Girl Power” first place for Best Beat/Specialty Reporting.

I’ve enjoyed telling these stories so much that as I move forward I will continue adding to this page with stories that I feel fit the mold. I hope you enjoy watching the struggles and accomplishments of these young ladies as much as I’ve enjoyed telling them.
